Autumn Term 1
'Learning for life, building a firm foundation.'
During this topic we will also be exploring our local area such as walking around our school peace garden and waving to the narrow boats as they pass by. We will be celebrating Harvest festival and making lots of links to our RE theme Creation by exploring the world around us. We will be using natural materials to create self-portraits in the style of Giuseppe Arcimboldo and Van Gogh. During music we will also learn about different celebrations such as the Kwanzaa Festival.

What happened to Humpty Dumpty?
In nursery this half term we are learning all about different nursery rhymes.
We will be joining in singing rhymes such as Humpty Dumpty, Incy Wincy spider, Twinkle Twinkle little star and many more… This can be accessed below via the link below:
We will also share the book The Same but Different by Molly Potter.
The Same but Different explores the ways in which we're all unique as well as the similarities we all share. After all, imagine how boring the world would be if everyone was exactly the same!
